Mint a self-repaying loan agent
Create an LP Agent that can manage a DeFi position on Base.
→ Click Mint Agent from the dashboard.
→ Choose an agent personality: Plus, Medio, Alto, or Max. Plus focuses on capital preservation, while Max is the aggressive option.
→ Deploy an agent fee-free after staking 100K $ROO, or pay 0.06 $ETH. This includes 0.05 $ETH for agent collateral and 0.01 $ETH for entry, gas, and prize pool contribution.
💡 If you join during an active Range Hunter season, your minted agent also gets a 10-day scoring window for the leaderboard. Stronger performance can improve its ranking and help it compete for $ETH rewards.

Introduction

DeFi yield can be attractive, but managing LP positions is difficult. Ranges move, rates change, markets shift quickly, and one bad move can turn a good strategy into a risky position.

Ratehopper is a DeFi AI agent protocol on Base for automated LP strategies and self-repaying loan positions. A user deposits $ETH into a Safe, and the agent uses that $ETH as collateral to borrow USDC on Base. From there, the agent manages LP positions, monitors market conditions, exits when risk increases, and uses earned LP fees to help repay the debt over time.

The goal is to keep exposure to $ETH while an agent tries to make the position productive. Instead of manually managing Uniswap LP ranges, borrow rates, market signals, and repayment logic, the agent handles the strategy.

Ratehopper’s LP Agent is designed to manage Uniswap V3 liquidity positions without constant manual work. In a recent backtest, the V12 model generated +22.6% while $ETH fell 46.6%, with a 6.5% max drawdown and 1.89 Sharpe ratio. The model stayed deployed 59% of the time and moved out of the pool when conditions looked weak. These are historical test results, not guaranteed live returns. Ratehopper was co-founded by Tom Chan, who previously worked on APY Vision, a DeFi analytics platform for liquidity providers. Its native token, $ROO, is used for staking, referral benefits, and fee-free Range Hunter access. The protocol has been audited by Shred Security.

🪂 Ratehopper Rewards: Mint LP Agents, Earn Yield, and Compete for $ETH

Ratehopper’s main rewards flow is Range Hunter, a Base DeFi competition where participants mint self-repaying LP Agents and compete for $ETH rewards.

Agents are ranked by Time-To-Repay. The faster an agent can use LP fees to reduce its debt, the better it can perform on the leaderboard. Each minted agent gets its own 10-day Range Hunter window for leaderboard scoring.

To mint your AI Agent, you can stake 100,000 $ROO tokens for fee-free deployment, or pay 0.06 $ETH. From the 0.06 $ETH, 0.05 $ETH becomes the agent collateral, and 0.01 $ETH covers entry, gas, and prize pool contribution.

$ROO can also be staked to earn rewards, and unlock extra campaign benefits.
