NEAR Protocol says Stellar and its native XLM token are now live on near.com, with direct mainnet deposits, USDC swaps and confidential-by-default transactions.

NEAR Protocol (@NEARProtocol) has announced that @StellarOrg and its native $XLM token are now live on near.com. Users can deposit directly from Stellar's mainnet and swap into assets such as $USDC, with all transactions and activity confidential by default.

What the Integration Offers

The addition lets holders move Stellar assets onto the near.com platform without a separate bridging step. Deposits come straight from the Stellar network, and swaps can then be made against other assets, including $USDC.

Privacy is the main selling point. Public blockchains typically expose every holding and trade by default, and near.com positions itself as an alternative to that model. According to CoinMarketCap, NEAR Protocol highlighted that XLM and Stellar USDC are live on NEAR with confidential-by-default transfers, putting Stellar assets in front of another layer-1 community.

The platform is built on NEAR Intents. Stellar's developer documentation describes NEAR Intents as a multichain transaction protocol in which users state the outcome they want, such as swapping one token for another. A network of off-chain market makers, known as solvers, then competes to fulfil the request, and the result is verified through a smart contract on NEAR.

Background and Market Context

Stellar is not new to the NEAR Intents ecosystem. Wallet provider THORWallet added Stellar cross-chain swap routes powered by NEAR Intents, allowing users to swap XLM or Stellar USDC to and from Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and BNB Chain without bridges or custodial intermediaries, according to BeInCrypto.

The confidential features are also a more recent addition to NEAR's stack. A LeoDex explainer says NEAR announced Confidential Intents on February 25, 2026, starting with confidential deposits, transfers and withdrawals, with confidential swaps following in late May.

The news comes as Stellar has drawn other integration headlines. CoinMarketCap reported that MetaMask added Stellar as a default network on October 29, 2026. The same report said the broader crypto market fell about 3.2% over 24 hours, while XLM slipped about 1.8%.

For Stellar holders, the near.com listing adds another route for moving XLM into a multichain environment with transaction privacy switched on by default. For NEAR, it widens the set of assets available on a platform that has been adding confidential support for a growing list of tokens.
