Pi Network expanded PiVerify with face uniqueness and repeat liveness checks for third-party businesses, paid in PI, and added testnet token price charts to Pi BlockExplorer.

Pi Network has expanded PiVerify, its identity verification service for outside businesses, and added historical price charts for testnet tokens to the Pi BlockExplorer. The updates were announced by @PiCoreTeam in a developer platform blog post.

PiVerify Adds Face Uniqueness and Liveness Checks

According to Pi Network's blog, PiVerify now includes face uniqueness and multiple liveness checks for third-party businesses. These build on capabilities already used within Pi's own KYC system.

Face uniqueness checks help businesses identify potentially duplicate identities within their user base. Multiple liveness checks let a business request additional verification after a user's initial identity check. Pi said the tools support stronger protection against fake accounts, fraud and abuse.

PiVerify was first introduced at Pi2Day 2026. As described in Pi's Pi2Day announcement, the service makes Pi's real-human verification available to outside clients that need KYC and identity checks for their own users. Pi said its AI and human KYC model has verified more than 18 million Pioneers across over 200 countries and regions. The same post lists document checks, liveness verification, sanctions and AML screening support, and duplicate detection among the services PiVerify can support.

Clients pay for PiVerify in $PI, which Pi says increases utility for the token. Pi has not published figures on how many businesses use the service, and the scale of adoption remains unclear.

BlockExplorer Shows Testnet Token Price History

Pi BlockExplorer now includes historical price tracking for Launchpad Testnet tokens, such as SLICE, relative to Test-Pi, according to Pi's blog. The data can be viewed without access to the Pi Browser or a Pi account, which Pi said increases visibility into how liquidity pool swaps affect token prices. The feature builds on an earlier Launchpad update that added price charts inside the Launchpad app.

Pi stressed that these test tokens exist only on Testnet and will never move to Mainnet. Future Mainnet tokens will be tracked in the same BlockExplorer interface once that functionality is released.

Market reaction was muted. TokenPost reported that PI was priced at $0.07751 on OKX on Friday, with a 13.77% decline over 30 days, and noted those figures do not show whether the product changes affected demand.
